“Company B” is the amateur troupe of 16 dancers ranging in ages from 20's to early 60's with a variety of backgrounds and a diversity of experience. There are students, office workers, small business owners and retirees. Some are new to dance and some have decades of experience. But all are drawn together by the love of performance.
The team normally presents two of Nancy's original compositions per year in venues such as showcases, social events and competitions. The dances incorporate standard Latin dances as well as cabaret, Broadway as well show dance elements with occasional lifts and floor work. The music is eclectic, usually high energy, and often a medley of thematically linked pieces. Final touches include custom costumes, props, and sometimes even dialogue.
Recent performances include an homage to the music of Michael Jackson, an interpretation of CHICAGO the musical, a superhero Halloween bash, and, in their debut under the "COMPANY B' moniker, a salute to all of our veterans danced to The Andrews Sisters' 1941 hit "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."
Company B is based in Baltimore, MD but its members live in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Southern Pennsylvania. They are happy to perform at your next funddraiser or social event throughout that region. Please contact Nonci at for more information.
